ok, basically i'm doing this i need a place to vent about political happenings, which is ironic because i never would have cared before i went to college. with the possibility of me being a poli sci major, i guess i need to pay attention to things. anywho, as pres. bush's approval ratings drop faster than i don't know what, members of congress, mainly those not-so-smart democrats, are calling for an immediate removal of troops from iraq. i must admit that my approval for how things are being handled is begining to decline. i think this is partly because of the time frame that this is taking, although understand that a war on terror isn't something that is gonna happen overnight. I also understand that people are upset over the number of US troops that are dying over there. not to sound heartless, but going into this war, people should have realized what happens in times of war. its not like war is a new concept to american history. i saw a headline in the newspaper today about a congressman wanting immediate withdrawl from iraq. does this idiot not realize the harm in that? we, and by we i mean america under the leadership of George W. Bush, are attempting to bring democracy to the people of iraq, which is commonly viewed as a good thing. as of right now, the job isn't complete. by removing before the job is done, we set iraq up to fail at democracy and convert to theocracy. theocracy is a combonation of religion and politics. the religion of iraq is islamic, and incase u didn't know, most muslims don't like us. so as the government of iraq is influenced by islmaic faith, the leaders will be forced to carry on their hatred for america, leading to more attacks. this would also show that we are, for lack of a better term, a bunch of "chicken shit bastards." no need to go into detail here because its pretty obvious. just think of any friend who has ever backed out on u when times get tough. my bitching has gone long enough. i shall end here.
